Job Description
We are looking for a Sign Board Welder, skilled professional responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling various types of signboards, structures, and frameworks used for outdoor and indoor signage displays. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, metalwork, and the ability to bring design concepts to life. The Sign Board Welder reports to the Fabrication Manager or Production Supervisor and collaborates with designers, fabricators, and other team members.

Required Skills:
Strong welding skills, including proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
Knowledge of different types of metals, alloys, and welding materials.
Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to welding and metalwork.
Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions and environments.
Strong problem-solving skills to address welding challenges and optimize fabrication processes.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Role & Responsibilities
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and degreasing to ensure proper welding and adhesion.
Fit and assemble metal components, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and modify materials as needed to achieve accurate fitment.
Use various welding techniques (such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding) to join metal parts according to design specifications. Ensure that welds are strong, clean, and meet quality standards.
Set up and operate welding equipment and machinery, including adjustments of voltage, current, and gas flow to achieve optimal welding conditions.
Inspect welds and assemblies visually and using measurement tools to verify their quality and adherence to specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of welding equipment and materials.
Working Conditions:
Fitter/Welders work in various settings, including manufacturing facilities, construction sites, and fabrication workshops. The role may involve working in confined spaces, at heights, and exposure to fumes, heat, and noise. Adherence to safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE is essential to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
